replacing the oil pan on a 97
can any one with expierence tell me how hard it is to change this.i cracked mine last night on some ice and i am loseing oil fast any help would be great.
i haven't pulled mine yet, only because it takes a fair bit of work. if i recall you have to pull your header and the front support brace at least. there might be other stuff you have to pull out as well just to get at the oil pan. if you can't do it right away, you could try JB weld as a short term fix; you'll need to drain the oil before you do, as i imagine it won't harden with oil coming through. in my experience, JB weld works much better at room temperature than cold, too, so you'll want to warm it up a bit before you apply it if you go that route.
