First of its a 91 civic dx converted to mpfi and obd1 with conversion harness, p28 ecu, 4 wire o2 sensor. Has a built y7 block with z6 head, z6 dizzy also. Swaped the engine with no problems. Had a little problem finding the right firing order so i came to 1-3-4-2, correct me if im wrong. Engine cranks but it doesnt start, there was a CEL reading codes 21-22 thats the vtec pressure and solenoid (again correct me if im wrong), I wired it up correctly (16gauge wire to the conversion harness), right now the cel is always on (not flashing any codes), im assuming a ground is off somewhere?! The o2 sensor is not hooked up, would this cause the engine to not start? Fuel pump primes whenever I turn the key, its getting fuel to the injectors, I can smell it when I take the spark plugs out. Im not sure if its getting spark, ill have to check that with a friend, been working on this build alone all winter long (with no help)

When i was swapping the motor in i misplaced the wire on the engine harness that goes onto the t housing, i accidentaly bolted it up to the starter, went to start the engine but it was making a clicking noise and the relay under the dash for the fuel pump was going crazy. Would this cause any of the fuses to burn out in the relay under hood/dash?

May want to check the ECU fuse underneath the hood. Might have shorted one of those out when you placed the group on a power source.

 

Solid check engine light usually indicates an ECU problem.

When an engine won't start check for: Fuel, Spark, Compression, Timing.

my timing is correct, i even had a tech guy come to my house and check it with that light, he said it was correct. compression is good in all cylinders, reading 160psi dry 185 wet. i mentioned it was getting fuel, but for spark ill have to check it in the morning
