Default revvinggg..

Hey guys i have a 2002 Turbo'd d17a2 em2 ... for some reason... when im coming to a stop my motor keeps itself up in the revs to about 1600-1700 .. like when im rollin it stays up and when i complete stop it still does it but as soon as a let off my brake it drops to normal idle....
Its like the brake booster feeds air into the intake manifold... anybody have an idea? maybe a possible vacuum line?? im pretty sure everythings nicely fastened and what not.

Anybody got an idea lemme know please!

What are you using for engine management?

Ok do not get e-manage....I was in your place at one point bro..I have a 2004 d17a2 boost'd...I am currently running 7.5 psi. This also happens to my car. but not as bad. it will be around 1200 rpm..not 1600...

E-manage is not good for our cars..I have AEM F/IC and it is nice..would still say get K-Pro if you have the money..if not F/IC would be the best option...But we need more info..What injectors you running???? how much psi is your wastegate set at???? how long have you been running boost without tuning????? what octane gas do you use???

Honestly, it sounds like you should take your car out behind a barn and shoot it.

In all seriousness, I'm willing to bet your lack of adequate engine management is to blame.

Wow bro this is funny. I first boost'd my civic in Feb of 08. already had the Apexi Neo installed so used that for about 2 months. But how are you making boost on stock injectors. Cuz they will only handle about 1-2 psi before they are maxed out.

Please DO NOT go into boost..keep it in vac as much as you can...I currently have rsx regular injectors if you want them. They are 280cc comparied to the 230cc the stocks are. Let me know cuz they drop right in with the same clips and you would be in a lot better situation than you are right now. It still wouldn't be the best..

You are running lean b/c of the tune and small injectors. Plz tell me you have a boost gauge and A/F gauge...Digital I hope....If not look into the AEM UEGO...That is what I have and its great, makes it a lot easier to see if something is wrong and try and tune the NEO a little better.

Wastegate closed???? what in the world do you mean... Is it internal or external??? your wastegate runs on a spring. The spring will open under a specific psi. Mine is the Tial 38mm wastegate with a 7.5 psi spring. The wastegate allows extra psi to escape threw it so you will not overboost and blow your engine.

If you want to see my setup I believe I have a build thread on here. I will go and find it and post the link for you in a min.

i can handle more boost on the stock injectors because i have Secondary injectors meaning i have 6 injectors total! lol its kinda cool i have a lil computer with it that i can tune to tell the injectors to spray more or less underboost which is kinda cool but it doesn't really say any directions .. doesn't make much sense.

as in for the rsx injectors i have to extend the studs for the fuel rail because they won't let the fuel rail stay in place..

I don't have digital gauges unfortunately but atleast im gettin some kind of readinn

But my turbo is a Garrett T25 with a internal wastegate ..

Btw your setup looks nasty!
