Default Engine lacks power

This is a 1993 Prelude
It's got an H22A JDM Vtec dual cam swap. The motor is pretty mutch stock, intake, Chipped P28, Manual tentioner (not a mod, but not stock) and fart can.

Seems like the engine lacks a bit of power while driving. It's like you can hear Vtec, but it doesnt go anywhere...

Not sure what stock idel is, but its about 1100 rpms. I checked dizzy timing. Checked over Vac leaks.

Might not matter, but I let my roomate borrow the car and he put way too mutch oil in it. I will drain some out tommarow.

Just figured I would make this post to see if you can suggest things to check.

Thank you Honda tuners !

sounds like vtec wont engage...might be an electrical probleme...your check engine light should be on tho...might have somegthing do to with the oil pressure 2 but putting in to much oil doesn't usualt stop vtec from working

how many miles on the motor? when was the last tune-up done? valves could need to be adjusted as well as new plugs/wires.

Are you sure your "chipped P28" has an H22 map? And why are your secondaries zip tied open? Just remove the vacuum line and they will stay open anyway. Maybe you zip tied them closed

It's a P28 Chipped for H22 maps from phearable.net

Check engine light it not on. Vtec Does Work, or at least I can hear it, its loud, ust seems like the car doesnt go.

I put all new plugs, wires, cap, rotor on it last 4,000 miles.

I want a picture of the IAB controller so I can see what position it's in. I bet you zip tied it closed. With the car off, the IAB's are open, and when you start it, the valve closes them until you hit 4800 RPM

If you hear vtec engauge but when it engauges the car falls on its face check that the cat might be clogged. I had this problem a while back.

Double check the chip by reinstalling the original chip. I would lay money that the chip has the wrong map or is slightly wrong application and not outputting correctly.

I have had suspisions that the cat is in fact claugged!

When I say the car falls on its face, this is know ing that thew car used to ride pretty good. So the chip isnt the problem! And phearable.net soldered the chip, its not removeable. I got the chip/P28 package deal.
I have already said the whole ignition system has been done.

Im wondering, but kinda doubt, the timing may be off a tooth.

I def suspec the cat!

So I wokred ont eh H22A a lil today, I tookt he Zip tie off the Secondary Butterfly. I also eliminated the Purge sensor. I draind some of the oil out of it ( was like 2 quarts overfilled)

Drove the car and seemed like its a little better but not mutch, VTEC sounds LOUDER now, but still fails to go anywhere when Vtec hits.

overfilling will kill your power.

have the engine tuned. You are running a basemap.

you fail to understand, a real tune is much better then a basemap, John can only tune so well over the phone without not being actually at the car, actually tuning it

It is difficult to remove the cat if the nuts are rusted away but if you must cut them you can cut them off and then drill them out and replace with new bolts. I think you should look at the cat next.
