Alittle backround. Its a 89 si with a d16y8 motor...stock si throttle cable... i got my manifold ported to accept the 76mm tb. Installation was okay except when it came to the throttle cable. The only way i can get the throttle to be 100% open is to have it cracked open a decent way when closed. I tried all different ways adjusting the cable and it seems thats the only way i can make it work. My question is...can i just clean up my tune alittle and turn down the % on my IACV to keep the idle down since the tb is gonna be open alittle

 

bend the throttle pedal up. then it will pull the cable to wot

 

How am i gonna bend the pedal?? i was thinking if the pedal has an adjustment under the dash but i dont think it does

 

just grab the pedal and pull it up. either i am strong or the pedal is very easy to bend. you should only need to bend it up a half inch. give it a try. grab the bottom of the pedal and pull away from the floor.

 

when you say 100% how do you know that? by eye sight or is your car hooked up to a computer ?
