I just installed a new ITR throttle cable and bracket to fit my Edelbrock intake manifold and RPM throttle body. When I press the gas pedal I can feel and hear the cable rubbing. Its def not the throttle body as the spring is smooth. I stuck my head under my dash and you can hear the noise is coming from the plastic part where the cable goes through the firewall. I shot some Litium grease on that part and that made it a little better but you can see feel the rubbing in the pedal. My gas pedal feels like it has a boat anchor attached and the rope is dragging on the side. Its not smooth. Does this just need to break in a little or is there something wrong?
there must be a kink/bend in the cable somewhere......i know its a bit of a pain in the *** but remove the entire cable and work in back in fourth in your hands. it should be smooth but you might feel some resistance in your cable.
the last thing you need it your throttle cable causing your t/b to stick open.....
