Default need help choosing an engine!!!!!!!!

i need an engine in my 98 dx hatch. b16a is practical because it is cheaper but is it worth the extra time saving money to get the b18. also what are all the models of the b18 and the aproximate costs. what is the difference between the b16a and the b18 models. thanks.

B18s have a displacement advantage. I think generally if you are going to do F/I that the B18C1 is better than the TypeR because it has lower compression and some of the benifits of the TypeR engine like the pistons would have to be swapped out anyways. you can get a full B18C1 swap for about $3,300. The typeR engine is better for NA build ups because of the compression and other things.

The B18C1 has another 10 HP but 17 Ft-Lbs more torque. Whether that's worth the extra 1k$ I'm not too sure, but I'm sure some one else here has a better explanation of the diferences

i've driven in a b16 hatch and a b18 hatch, it's worth it to save up for the b18c
