Default going OBD1

what all do i need to do/ what do i need to convert my ek b16 hatch from OBD2A to OBD1?

so far i know i need the harness converter as well as the ecu...

do i need to disconnect the second O2 sensor as well?


help me out mayn

is it going into an obd1 car? or is it in an obd2 car and wanting the plug and ecu??

just wondering if anyone else thought about this. he says wants to convert his b16 hatch from obd2a to obd1. honda never made a obd2a b16. from my recollection. all obd2 b16 ecus were obd2b

'96 - '97 Del Sol Vtec, JDM B16A (all of the JDM versions are OBD2A except for the B16B.

from what im reading, your car is an 96-00 hatch, but which year is it??

also what year ( or obd) is the motor you're working with...???

are you planning on putting in a OBDI motor? if not get a jumper harnes and run a cipped p28 or p72 that is OBDI, no need to change any motor stuff

its a 98 civic cx OBD2. i said OBD2A cause i have a b16a2 swap with the same harness fron the D16. but i need a jumper harness, obd1 dizzy, and p72 or p28 ecu??

the motor is a obd2 as well as the car

You do no need, nor would you even want an OBD1 distributor. All you need is an OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness and either a chipped P28 or an OBD1 P30.

as 94EG8 said, all you need is the jumper harness and an obd1 ecu.. either a chipped p28, p30, or like i have.. a chipped p72..

and do i just get rid of that second o2 sensor?
cause i donthink OBD1 cars use the second o2 sensor way back there

yes, either put a plug in the hole or just leave the O2 sensor in to plug the hole

obd1 sounds a like a easier option than the obd2a to obd2b conversion
