Anybody from CT have their ITR / ITR Engine stolen recently?
I was down around where lotsa rice boys and such hang out last nite in the ITR, and the usual few people came up asking dumb questions, etc.
This one kid came up asking bout my engine, HP ratings and such and said he was about to swap in a stolen ITR motor coming down from CT. Figured I'd see if anybody here is missing one, and get some VIN's to compare.
EDIT: I'm not in CT; heard this down in Delaware.

these cars are hot.
i've personally given up the battle.
if your car is stolen, its stolen.
my car, if its stolen, its stolen, but i cry too
either way, thieves one day will pay the ultimate price.

How stupid can you be to go around advertising that you are installing a stolen ITR motor into your car...especially to an ITR owner.
He'll get it...don't worry.

A while back, there was a post here from someone in one of the Civic forums who's friend's ITR was stolen. I think he had "crx" in his sig.
The only reason I remember this particular post was because of two reasons:
1. He mentioned something about a Calli conversion on the ITR
2. I remember thinking to myself that CT rarely has any stolen posts. Rich state = less thefts
Try to get the VIN number. I know a few detectives that may be able to help.
Edit: Beacause I can't spell "remember."

i know the kid whose itr got stolen, his 98 R got stolen a while back also.
Nothin for Nothin but, why do you take the R to a "Riceboy" meet?
Thats just askin for trouble.
Me personally, I stay away from these groups and absolutely Do Not go looking for any of them to hang with and shoot the **** with. I'm sure it feels good to get some attention but, in the end it may very well bite you in the ***.
Be smart and stay away... Hanging with these guys is just asking for trouble. It could be you next that loses his R or motor and it ends up in CT!

I'm in CT and last night my rear emblem got stolen from my driveway since I have a del Sol in my garage right now that I'm working on.
2-3 damn nights outside, and already the car is touched. God forbid I find out who did it... I will seriously beat someone unconscious even over an emblem.
At least they didn't scratch anything removing it. It's almost like they took "care" not to damage the car.

On a side note, I was asked a dumber question IMO then, "Is that a real type r?". Someone actually pulled over, walked up and asked me... "Did you swap a Type R motor in there?"
Riiiiiiiiight.
dude that blows and you live as good neighborhood too
Little man, don't press your luck.

if you watch the episode of the soup ****, its a line he says to george
Relax man, you were the one who said that you met up with these guys. So in reality you went to them, Not they came to you.
The reasoning behind me posting what I did and I'm sure Tom will agree "as per our last meet," is that although these guys "Riceboys if you will, which BTW you labeled them as such," may be mostly all talk and silly looking cars, also have a tendency to harbor thieves and or the boys even though they may not themselves be thieves, may know scumbags that woulld love to know that there is an R around that they could take.
License plates and VIN's can trace to your home address Very easily with the correct amount of money and the wrong kind of people working for the DMV or law enforcemant agency.
My post was in NO WAY a personal attack or a statement about the people you hang with or even the attention that the car gets. It was more a Warning that the company you keep or meet or hang with will sometimes spell the end of your time spent with your car.
Coming from one who lost a PY already, I am just suggesting to keep to the side of caution and Not ask for trouble.
Being that I already had one, I can say that the attention does feel good once in awhile. Be honest man It does. But, negative attention All the Time is where the yellow car turns into a sour lemon.
And BTW, the car did come with a window sticker that READ:
WARNING! This car produces instantaneous and constant **** eating grins for those who own/drive it, envy and hate for those unlucky enough to Not have one. It will attract pretty women and ugly ones alike. It will draw negative attention from all forms of law enforment regardless of your guilt of Anything. Anyone with just a buzzing coffee can sized muffler will rev on you and even Nun's and Grandma's in Dodge Caravans will attempt a race you, Just to say: "I raced a Type-R!" This car is acquired taste, and the only thing that will really make you faster is to learn how to drive it correctly. Before you crash it, go to a driving school. Before it gets stolen, take the steps to protect it.
and something else afterward about warm weather performance tires of limited treadwear not for use in snow.
The above warning was for the general ITR owning population NOT aimed at anyone in particular.
Take it easy dude, have fun and good luck, above all be safe and protect yourself...

PS sometimes I do really miss the yellow,,, for a second. Oh, ok then it passed.
