Default Brake Upgrade Suggetions

Ok here is my delima. I have a '99 Si. I need a more responsive brake setup although I can't go bigger than stock due to my 13 inch Bogarts that I use at the track. Someone told me that Willwood might make a two piston caliper that will be equivilent in size to the stock caliper, although that is not for sure. I don't want to spend thousand's of dollars on a setup. I am sure people on this forum have gone through this problem so your information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You, David!

Wilwood makes a Civic kit that uses Dynalite calipers (not sure if it's Dynalite or Dynalite II's) with rotors and pads for $606 from Jegs. It's not on their website, but it's in the current Jegs catalog. Fastbrakes sells a similar kit for $8xx.

Edit: If you want to keep your 13" wheel'ability, you might have to relegate yourself to using upgraded stock sized pads & rotors. Min wheel size on the Wilwoods is 15" -- at least on the Fastbrakes kit.

Actually a lot of people just suggest some good brake fluid and some quality pads--something like HAWK pads.

I bet you can get some better replies in the RoadRacing/Autocross forum. I think most people here just care about getting there faster and worrying about braking when the time comes

Thanks for the rplies guys. My friend works or Porsche's and he recommended Hawk or Padget brake pads. He also wanted me to go with a rotor that will release heat quicker and some seel braided brake lines so they don't flex.

porterfield r4s are really good for street and autox they are kinda pricey though, about 100+ for the front and Hawk hp+ are also really good for 60-70 for a front set.

If you want to use 13" wheels, just get some new blank rotor, a set of good pads and ATE fluid.
