i bought this setup for my 98 civic and i have a question. i looked on some DIY to do this and i noticed that they dont install the spring seat for the coilovers on to the shocks, is there a reason for this?? just needed some clarification before i install them, thanks!

 

the bottom of the coilover perch has a recess machined into that sits on the snapring installed on the shock. there is no lower perch necessary.

 

so would it be safe to not install the spring seat?? is there a change that the snap ring to "snap" out of place and bottom out??? i use the car as a DD but just freeways here in So Cal just want to have a warm and fuzzy feeling before installing this and besides its the suspension too, thanks

should not need the seat. doesnt the seat sit on the snapring (if you were to install the seat

 

i too am in the same situation. i have looked at every dyi write-up and it does not show them having it on there.
