Well personally I carry my bike and snowboards on mine, due to my boards being too big to fit in the car and not having to stuff my bike in the hatch area. But I do see alot of people with them that just have them for a "look". Oh well, guess they have money to burn.

i agree... thats why im doing it hahaa. im going for a socal look from the east coast lol. red car, gold w/polished lip, slammed, and roof rack... i think it'll look cool. i dont bike, i kind of board but not really lol. so idk i might throw a board on if i finish up my rack in time.

Most people actually use them for there purpost, if you dont you are a ricer.

Even if you do use a roof rack for it's purpose, but don't have a bike, skis, etc. on it at all times, you will be called a ricer (at least as long as the car is modified).
Racks are a pain in the *** to put back onto a car if you haven't done it all the time. It does affect gas mileage though, so it'd be nice to be able to take off when it's not in use.
