stage 1 Cams?

stage 1 Cams?
I deciding on putting on a stage 1 Cam in my D16Y8.
should i change the internals or would the stock ones be fine with the Cam
Also would i have any problems with check engine lights, or miss fire or something? this motor is staying OBD2 which mean i still have to go to emissions
