Ah yea. I dont think 5" wide tires would be considered "drag" rims heh.
*edit* Theres a company that makes some cheap drag rims though. Started with a V. Dont remember the name though...

so are the vx wheels kind of worthless then? i mean, i saw a couple sets of tires for them, but is there really just not anything that makes the vx wheels worthwile? no drag radials or anything? that kinda sux.

The only thing that I found to fit the VX wheels are M & H RACING TIRES (DOT) in P205/60-13. They are $131.60 each at http://www.mandhtires.com/. They are Bias ply not radials though. PM "SlicksMH" for details.
Put some cheap no-name 155/80 tires on the vx's and use them a skinnies for the rear. That's what I've seen numerous people do at the strip.
But then again I have seen someone mount M&H slicks that were to wide for the wheel and the sidewalls were bulging out from the rim.

sorry for hijacking ur thread, but why do people put skinnies in the back anyway? is there any benefit at all?

i met one of the guys from that company. he came up to us at famoso after a test and tune. cool guy. good prices, good tires. i'm gonna have to find a way to get ahold of him, now that i'm ready for some slicks.

WOW, back from the dead. I ended up just mounting and using the old hoosies. work great. first time out with them(or slicks at all for that matter), launched really badly(2.2 with slicks is horrible) and cut .4 off my time, while dropping only .1 in my 60ft. and then i hydrolocked my car, so poo.
