I have searched for this topic already and some turned up in the archive..but none really answered my questions. My stock steering wheel for my 95 DX coupe is starting to go, and i would like to replace, but i would like to retain my airbag. I have seen many aftermarket steering wheels, and have talked to a few CHP officers and asked them about removing stock steering wheels and replacing them with non-airbag equipped aftermarket ones..the answer i got from 2 of them was that it was illegal to tamper with an air-bag equipped vehicle in California. How much as I looking to spend to get either a nice aftermarket steering with an airbag or a JDM wheel with one..or something that looks like it has an SRS system. any one who has done this, please let me know..and will i need to get a steering wheel puller to remove my stock OEM one..and yes i will disconnect the arming mechanism for the airbag before i even think about removing it...

is there a pic of this wheel? I just looked at my helms manual..looks simple enough, but now i just need a steering wheel with SRS airbag...
Yeah, I was also thinking of this, since my steering wheel is also kinda loose-ish. Don't S2000 wheels fit on the Civic? I heard they fit, but not entirely sure.
i'm not sure if theres a way you could rig it up, but the S2k is 5lug, and even if you had a 5 lug conv. its set up for rwd, so the rear wheels are larger. but i guess you could get 4 front rims and it MIGHT work. not sure tho.

s2k wheels do NOT fit, I know cause i have one. I had to reweld the hub cause the s2000 wheel has finer teeth in the spline.
What about DC2 steering wheels? I'm guessing they are interchangable with the Civic ones.
Or, you could always stop by the dealer and get an OEM wheel...

I guess i might just have to live with my old steering wheel or bite the bullet and get a JDM one somehow that fits on an EJ1...
jonas' car is an "ek9" not an "eg6"
the dc2 wheel is interchangable with the eh2, ej1 so on
just get an SRS dc2 wheel from ebay
