Default Coolant adding oil changing habits?

Well I'm still new to the turbo world and of course I'm super paranoid and questioning every inperfection; slight bit of smoke, smells, sounds. I don't want to fail a daily driver turbo setup so if you guys can put up with my crap that would be awesome.

1. How often should I check/add coolent? And what is a good brand commonly used?

2. The B16A is running 11 pounds of boost with a built block and springs to the head and I push it every so often. How often should I change the synthetic oil?

3. In between longer gear shifts(in traffic, etc.) my lean/rich gauge will go lean and will have white smoke(a small amount) arise from the exhaust and will immediately run rich again. Is this preventable or common with turbo setups?

4. Is it good to have my fan wired to a switch and manually turned on at startup to help the engine warm up faster or leave it to the cars automatic settings?

I looked in the FAQ page and didn't really see anything pertaining to noob questions such as this. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advande for your replies.

1. keep an eye on the over flow. if its low add 50/50 mix. any decent name will do

2. i think changing every 1k is overkill on synthetic, but it dpends on how it is running. and how fast the oil gets carboned up. but changing early cant hurt.

3. rich lean gauge? is it a wide band? if it isnt dont go off of that gauge, it can only see .1 to .9 volts. roughly 14:1 to 15:1. get a wideband.

leave the fan wired oe unless you are having an issue. what i did to my race car is took all the stock wiring out of the circle. using factory fan switch backed by a toggle, works like stock, or i can command it on anytime.
