I just bought a 2000 crv. I was trying to test out how many MPG I would get on a full tank before the GAS LIGHT would come on.

Although I did get 335 mix city/hwy...... The problem is that the light never came on and my car ran out of gas.



Now i'm also wondering when I turn the keey to Ignition II
Which lights on the cluster are suppose to light up right away

 

You got decent gas mileage. I usually get around 310 on a tank. (not going all the way to dead though, LoL)

My gas light usually kicks on a little bit under a quarter tank. It's annoying as hell.

 

Same here. You may have a bad cluster, or loose wires or something. Great mileage though! You can always swap your cluster for a Civic Si one!
