I just connected my Eagle Rods to the CP Pistons. When i was putting the C Clips in place with the plastic end of a small screw driver, it was the best thing i could find. Well when i was putting in the c clips the ends of the clips made a small scratch on the piston right below where the pin goes in. The ringlands and the piston skirt on the intake and exhaust side are perfectly fine. My question is, have i completely ruined these pistons. My best thoughts that the wrist pin area is never going to touch the cylinder wall so i really shouldnt worry bout it or maybe i should very fine sand paper on the scratches and throw them in. I need some advice please.

ok, im going to try and get a camera tommorow, but its the thrust area near the wrist pin i figure if i just sand it out a bit i should be fine. There are no scratches on the ringlands, its like a fine scratch, so small. Here is a pic showing where they would be
i think it should be fine, its not too much that will throw off the weighting, just make sure u sand it smooth so it wont hurt oil flow. but u really shoulding have a problem.
