Car dies while driving (need help)
Hi guys, im having a little problem with my car, it would die out of nowhere while im driving. I drive a 99 ex with b16a2, had it for about 6 months now and this is the first problem i've had with it. Anyways, the car would die on me while im driving, and it doesnt matter how fast cause it died once when i was driving like 45. when i take off in first gear, the rpm would jump back and forth and go all crazy and the car feels like it would die (no, i gave it enough gas, and this is after the clutch is balanced and all im pressing is the gas.) My friend said it was the fuel filter, so i went ahead and bought one and replaced it, but the problem is still there. The drive belts are new and the water pump and timing belt is new also. Did a compression test and my compression was good as well; so im clueless on what the problem is. I replaced my o2 a couple months ago, but i dont think thats the problem. If anyone can give me a clue on what the problem is, it would be a great help. oh yea, im running a chipped p28 cause its more fuel efficient than the p2t, and i dont know what its chipped to, came with the car. Thanks alot.
This is a tough one...so it cuts off completely...do this..put it in 2nd gear or 3rd. Well it wont matter and then floor it. If it cuts off like almost immediately. You may need a fuel pump. But I would try and swap the ecm and see wat happens.
