Default need some help for a non accord owner

ok guys, I need some help here, but I have posted in the Tech forum and either no one goes in there or no one replies. I am posting in here b/c there is the most knowledge with the least amount of sarcasm and pointless posts. And actually, the people in here are just nicer. so here it goes:

I have a 98 CRV. Unfortunatly it has rear drums and I would like to convert it to disc but I cannot find a conversion kit out there. I have checked both AEM and Brembo, niether of which will work for me.
I was wondering if I could use parts off of another 5 lug Honda. And if I did that, what all parts would I need. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure about this, but you may be able to use the rear brake assembly off of an ITR. You will need discs, calipers, brake lines, master cylinder, and a change of fluid. I would check one this, but I have heard this before.

thanks guys. there is a Honda junkyard about 6 miles from me. I think I'll run up there on Monday and see what I can get. But if I were to buy all this stuff new, how much would it run...assuming I had to buy it piece by piece?

It will be kindof expensive, unless there was a model of CR-V with rear discs.

I don't think you would have much luck finding one of those...

so i'm thinking accord V6, and i know they have some newer preludes up there. i'm thinking that will work.
would you recommend that i get new brake lines and master cylinder, or will the used ones suffice

You "could" use them, but you are better off with new parts matched for the ones you are putting in so pedal travel/effort is kept in check.
