Wal-Mart Sucks
So this kid made me an offer I couldn't refuse so i sold me DA daily driver. I have been daily driver my R for the last week and wow it feels good. Yesterday I parked at Wal-Mart for 5 minutes cuz i had to run in to get some sand paper for my girlfriends preludes headlights. I always park away from people. So I come out AFTER 5 Minutes and I see this. Not sure what hit it. Maybe a cart or something. Yeah I know its dirty just it is winter and its -3 degrees. The same day I went to look at another DA 3 hours away and I get there and test drive it. The water Pump craps out and the dumb thing over heats so theres no way I can drive it home. Is this fixable or do i have to get the whole bumper resprayed? It looks worse in person.
i feel you're pain! i got a new car last year (my civic si)...it had less than 2k on it....parked away from other cars for a quick run inside on a cold windy day....came back with 3 ****ing carts slammed up against my fender! the dent was the size of three of my hands put together and cost me $700 to fix. i was so pissed off.
I had my car nailed by a shopping cart that start rolling by the wind at Home Depot. I watched it hit my car. I told the store manager. They took the report, and that's it. They do have a policy of something like "not responsible" for damages for any reasons, etc, etc. Botton line I had no case, even thou I do. They should have been better at collecting their shopping carts. But because it was caused by the wind.... SOL. If it was by another person, go after the other person.
In an open mall, I too try to park away from someone (like what happened). But that just leaves you open to shopping carts.
Now I almost have to study the slope of the land, relationship of how the carts are left in the lot. Where they are. Are they up a curb, or do they have a possibility of rolling. And THEN worry about the other driver's car.

same **** happened to me on july 4th a few years ago. went into walmart, left car out away from anything, came out, cart up against my pass door and a huge dent. sucks ***. anyways, your car looks like your bumper has been repainted crappy before, and the old paint is showing through where the paint flaked/chipped when maybe a cart hit it. that whole bumper needs to be stripped, prepped, and resprayed. so does anything else that was painted when that bumper was
Thank god my integra has gotten screwed up there, but in front of my house i watched like i didnt personally stare but i seen outa corner of my eye, this little asian dude driving a honda accord back right into my driver door. and then he yells at me cause he couldnt get out his ****ing driveway, are street is like 20 feet wide and he couldnt turn his wheel...... i got cut 750$ for it though i didnt fix it lol..... its no noticable plus the car is getting re done, but the funny thing is that my dad rides a harley and all his harley buddies were out side smoking with me and we saw it and he got hella scared when ones was like MIKE ill get ur dad lol hella funny....
lol funny ****. now if i see a cart, i usually start cursing the f***ing people who are too lazy than to walk the cart 10 feet to the nearest cart holding area!!
I actually see one guy pull into a spot, and a free rolling cart was near his stall. So he pushed it away from his, and next to someone else's car. I understand the thinking of "get that sh*&^ away from my car. But why make an effort to put it next to someone else's car?
Lol good stuff k20civicsi. Shawn C is right I took a close look and it was resprayed. Its the only place that was. My girlfriend was like oh well thats to bad I get my whole car painted for free haha. She has a 2000 Prelude and her grandpa in Denver was a body and paint man for 40 years and has his own shop. So hes doing her whole car next month for NOTHING.
I always put my cart in the holding area and if not possible, make sure it's secured with one or more wheels on the curb so there is no chance of rolling. It puzzles me why some just refuse to give a f&^%^%. I'm sure they don't want it to hit their car.

the second time i ever drove my clone some teenage girl rear-ended me at a stop light in front of a wal-mart shopping center. had to get a entire new rear bumper, which her father payed for.
the reason why your cars get hit at a damn parking lot is cause you park far away from people.. **** if i saw your car parked far away from other cars i would make sure ur **** gets hit by a shoping cart lol
there was a time i was sitting in the car in walmart parking lot and i watched this guy driving a car, pushing a cart, and then he turned as the cart kept going straight with full speed, straight into the side of a parked car. it put a huge dent in the side! i was so mad but i couldnt do anything about it.
