problem starting del sol

Default problem starting del sol

ive got a rhd converted del sol, and when i first got it, it would start every time, but i would have to push the clutch pedal as far down as i could, now it wont start sometimes and it almost acts as if im not pushing the clutch down far enough, is there a place to adjust that? or could it be a bad starter? LMK

i had a similar problem when my slave cylinder went out, except then the clutch actually wasn't engaging then. if yours is actually engaging but just wont let it start, definitly clutch switch. if not, i would definitly check the master and slave cylinders.

how can i check it? should i just replace it?

well i just looked at mine and it was visibly leaking into the boot so thats how i knew mine was bad. pretty damn cheap to replace, i think like $30 or less for mine. if you need to know where it is just check your service manual. (if you don't have one, HIGHLY recommend getting one.)

look up under your dash. engage the clutch. you will see it, it is way up there. the other end of the clutch pedal(not the end with the pedal pad obviously) swings into the switch. i cannot remember if it is two nuts and you screw the contact closer or what. climb under there with a flashlight, and u will see it
