Default D16Z6 Turbo Problem, Help.

Everything was fine until i started it one morning. It was a little cool that morning (around 0 celius or 30 fahrenheit). I had driven the car a bit hard the night before but everything seemed fine on the way home. Turbo timer and it shut off as asual. The next morning it was doing all this:

Car: D16z6 turbo with crome chipped p28 ecu, GM 3 bar map sensor.

Symptoms:

- Idle is going 800-1500 rpm, up and down
- car is running super rich now (450cc injectors)
- won't really let me get over 3000 rpm and is very limited in accelerating
- CEL is on but could not get any codes from it
- checked and cleaned the IACV and tightened the FIV but didn't help

Assumption: Car is in limp mode

Any ideas on what may have happened?
What should I do next to fix my problem?

all the symtoms lead to cat damage except that you do not have a blinking cel. i had somthing like this before turns out my injector wires were shorting off each other. take a look at them make sure there all good.

It could be a head gasket blown! When your trying to pass 3000 and let it cruise does it jump or bounce back and forth like it's forcing you to shift?

When i get to 3000 its like its hitting the rev limiter and kind of bucks a bit. once i get up to speed tho it cruises quite well.

The car is in storage right now until april 19th so its hard to check things as people make suggestions. But i am taking note of everything you guys suggest so keep the ideas coming and i will try them all in the spring!

To me it sounds like it could be a blown head gasket. It happened to me about a month ago. It's a good thing it's in storage because I didn't know what it was so I ignored it and all of my belts ripped, if i would have pushed it hard I probably would have bent valves.

there isnt any white smoke so i doubt its the head gasket. A new headgasket was put in very recently too.

I would have to go with a blown head gasket or cylinder head damage. I recently ran into a problem similar to this... i went though EVERYTHING, then broke down and took it to a shop. They diagnosed it to be an internal vacuum leak, or head damage.

Could be the cap on the end of your fuel rail, I know that sounds crazy but this is very similar to the symptoms of my friends car. We ran through everything, ended up being the cap on the end of the fuel rail where the fuel line comes in.
