Default k series Q's

Alright well im going to build a k27 drag motor and have a few questions. I plan on using the crv/accord block. I plan on using a performance oil cooler and electric water pump so i dont have to worrie about switching those parts. Does anyone know if there is a company that has made a oil sump tank kit for the k eseries? Can i run my RHD throttle cable with the swap? Has anyone heard about the guy at hytech that blueprints k24 oil pumps and sets them up the right way? Or just go with the Erl modified f20 pump with upgraded spring. Does the ep3 head and the type s head the same casting? Can a ep3 head be ported and built the same as a type s head i should say. Trying to save some money. Very last question what company can i go through to gear my trany for the track? Appericate the help guys

what crank? you are talking about 105+mm stroke ($1500+)

a dry sump? thats $2000+

Can i run my RHD throttle cable with the swap?
maybe but you are talking about replacing a $20 part

Has anyone heard about the guy at hytech that blueprints k24 oil pumps and sets them up the right way?
Hytech mods type-s/r k20 oil pumps to flow to 9k

Or just go with the Erl modified f20 pump with upgraded spring.
the erl is a mod'd s2k pump - I don't believe the spring is modified. this will flow to 9.5K.... either way you wouldn't need these with a dry sump so why does it matter. I would not run either type-s/r or s2k on any type of motor you are talking about here

Does the ep3 head and the type s head the same casting?
No

Can a ep3 head be ported and built the same as a type s head i should say.
it can come close but not better

Trying to save some money.
with a "2.7" build... yeah right you are looking at $20,000 for setup. probably more when you throw all the necessary swap parts IE axles header, mounts, K-pro

Very last question what company can i go through to gear my trany for the track? Appericate the help guys
way to many variables not too mention you would be breaking any tranny you use.... OFTEN!!!! so go oem

I know dry sumps are pricey but im gonna run one. What is the best choice of oil pump i can run untill i find a dry sump. My eg is RHD so i wanted to know if that is going to work or if i need to get a RHD K series cable. So your saying that the oem tsx tranny is geared good enough for the quarter mile. What is the stamp on the type s head or the code so i know that it is a type s or ep3. Thanks

Whoa. Hopefully you can make it an automatic because you're going to be selling one of your legs for medical experiments to pay for it...
