Widebody Datsun 260z now equipped with equips
Left the honda game a while back in search of a less stolen car. (I had 2 taken last year alone) Have since moved on to the classic game, and I just wanted to show you the process of what I have been working on the past few months.
Below is the beginning process of me fitting my 15x10.5 -6 w/225/50/15s in the rear and 15x8 -25 in the front. The front required no spacer and fit in my mind perfectly, with the exception of some of the inner lip that I am going to have to grind away. The rears required a 35mm spacer both for strut clearance and to fit the body. As you can see there is a pretty thick piece of metal acting as a support for the widebody that I will have to carefully grind away. Tonight I thought I was going to make a lot more progress then I did, however I went through one wheel on the rotozip and barely made a dent. Off to home depot.... anyway without any more delay---

front wheel fitment

rear wheel fitment:

I didnt think I would like the stretched look but it looks like I have no choice! tight fit, and I am really happy with the fitment. Grinding the lip is going to be a bitch though- Here is an idea of what I am working with:

its almost a half inch thick. I will have to angle it pretty hard, and may even have to bust out my buddy's fender roller but I am not trying to damage the fiberglass that seems the metal kit together. All in all I have a nice winter project on my hand. I will most likely need coilovers to get the ride height that I want so that is next....anyone have any advice on suspension? I havent even begin to research...

sorry to get off topic but i hear ya with the bad luck thing man, i think i bought my first civic from you, the white low four door with the ls motor. that thing got stolen from me and it was found like 200 miles from my house crashed and looking like pile of rubbish, with no driver. anyways beautiful car man sounds amazing too seen it on TST
this car is ****! I thought about buying a datsun z just like this but I want to do a rb25det swap but dont know where to start.
is the motor the RB25 OR RB20? I never figured out the physical differnces besides it being a 2.0L OR a 2.5L inline 6.
25, stock turbo, fmic, avc-r @ 12lbs about 275whp. Getting the suspension, body, and interior right for this winter, then given her some serious boost hopefully by the summer. Thanks for all the compliments guys!
What is all needed to do to swap a rb series swap into a 240z? I'm thinking to buy one of these as a project car. If you could pm me that would be cool.
I know they are carb factory but just to make sure, there is no ecu in that 240z right? How would we do the wiring? Say, I found a complete rb swap with ecu and everything?
I looked on mckinney motorsports and see alot of good parts for the 240z!

Looks good man.
I know those wheels are pretty hard to find, but I am beginning to wonder what a set would look like on my '08 .:R32 if I could find the right width and offset.

15s on an R32? You would have to have a great stance to pull em off. And you would have to worry about brake clearance. But ya I love em. My favorite wheels ive owned to date
