Default No check engine light ~ why?

I just wired up all the vacuum devices so i can bar my car

bought a p13 from canada

I figured I would have a cel ~ then I would just troubleshoot from there

the check engine light does come when i turn key ~ but then turns off just like normal

but NO check engine light! ~ even when I unwire the evap solenoid or egr sensor . ..
Why no check engine light ?

I dont want to post to much info cause I dont know alot of ecus and the paticular cars they come off of and specially what is on them in other markets besides the U.S. but I will say this that Some times a vehicle will have to be driven or go through a drive cycle before it relizes that something is wrong so this could be your problem but maybe not

thx gsrhatch

that would be my only answer. Just run it around and wait till the light comes on. Was hoping somebody would have a better answer though /:

~So when it doesn't come on is there any other answers?

Have to bar my car so I'm adding all vacuum/emission systems.

I have h22a 93 civic hatch with canadian p13.

I have unhooked some stuff under the hood~waiting for light to come on but it doesn't.

does the ecu take its time before telling me theres a problem?

check engine light comes on when i start car, but then goes off. (like normal)

I'm going to drive it around and see if it comes on ~ I'll be back

drove around only for 10 min 30mph then ran outa gas LOL but no check engine light came on. I read someone says you have to have 50 key turns before a change is made. I'll have to find some gas and get driving again.

I drove it around a little longer and got a # 12 (1 long - 2 short flashes) = egr valve sensor soo I looked around and eventually found a wire in the wrong place at the ecu. But Im still not idling well. Anyways looks like the hatch is gonna work out.
