Default buynew wheels and dont know much. possibly fitment issues

So im buying 17x7 rims and im buying a 205/40 ZR17 tire. will these rub any suspension/wheel well liners or anything?

It will fit your Jeep Cherokee just fine.

there are 17s that fit, but 17x7, the "7" might be too wide.

his name is 96f22b2 ... so im assuming its a 96 accord ... you'll be fine with that fitment ... 7" in width is a good size for your gen accord ... i use to have 8.5s on my 6th gen, could have gone 9's with the right offset ... some people have done 9.5 but then you have to modify your suspension a bit much

I assume nothing. Particularly from something as nebulous as a screen name.

IF (however) it IS a '96, 7" widths will be problamatic - particularly in the rear without an offset change. He's going to run up against the verticle link which traverses directly behind the rear wheel to the upper ball joint. A standard SE 15x6.5" rim passes within .75" of this upright, and when a 215/60 is mounted, the sidewall passes within .5". What makes matters worst is that this link arcs over the tire's sidewall/tread apex, limiting the diameter which can be selected.
At 17x7, it will be a trial and see approach.
