Default Need new Driveshaft?

While removing my transmission I noticed that both of my driveshaft were bad. one was completely torn and spraying grease everywhere and the other one wasn't far behind. do I need to replace them with new driveshafts or can I just replace these torn boots?

this will be the third pair I will have to install in the last 100k miles...is this normal? could it be my driving style?

thanks

no they just go bad usually.. it depends on how long they have been without a boot, the boot keeps grease in if they have gone a while without grease then yes i would suggest new ones, if they still have a good amount of grease in them then yes just replace the boots.

just to save the trouble just get 2 brand new cv shafts. you're still gonna take out each shaft no matter what to replace boots by itself. its a dirty job believe me, i had them both changed out by myself in the garage and be sure to clean up all the grease on the arms and front suspension + inner wheels. i got mine from onestop fountain valley brand new for my civic 98 dx for 40$ each brand new. get shafts, tranny fluid, lotsa rags, wd-40, brake cleaner, haynes manual, and right tools and have fun with that.
