Default 2007 Climate controls not working at all

My parents battery went dead yesterday. So I replaced the battery and put the code into the radio and that got the radio working but the climate controls do not work or light up. I was wondering if there is any trick to getting it to work or if anyone has any ideas because our nearest Honda dealer is an hour away. By the way it is a 2007 Accord sedan 4cyl. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help or have any ideas

Already checked and they are fine. I did notice though that the check engine light is now on

i think that cause of the check engine light is probably of the battery but my suggestion would be to take to the dealer ship because it may be cover under the guaranty if you have under 36.000 milles

If you have a good service history with the dealership they should be nice and cover it goodwill.
