the VTEC in the CD5 chassis isnt really meant for performance. more for economy. so dont expect it to perform better or sound better just because its VTEC.

The F-Series, with the exception of the F22C's, are SOHC and made for gas saving.

The cross over on SOHCs are very quiet, but you can hear it well at higher RPM.

CD5 vtec hits at about 2500-3000, pretty low for economy purposes. Plus F-series are single cam versus H-B-series dual cam. not sure if BISIMOTO makes cams for f22b1.

if you have a J series V6, you definately know when it opens up because it is noticable but on the CLS I drive the secondaries opening up is much more noticable........

You've made your assumption based on how it sounds??? How about something difinitive like a stop watch? Or a comparison drive in a like equipped Accord.

ACTUALLY,

It's Variable, so it changes the engagement point based on a few factors (oil, rpm, etc) . The range is from as low as 2300 up to ####

(Trying to find the upper end, I know the lower.

Nah, don't feel stupid - you don't really feel it in an Accord in any case, but it does vary on it's engagement point.
