Default A little help on motor choices..

Since so much bs over the mentioning of money heres the *edited* one
D16z6- basically rebuilt the motor, have almost all the turbo parts to go boosted. But the crank key ate the teeth on the crank so i had to swap the cranks, but may run into the problem again so ive been told.

H22a4- One in town for a good price and have people to help do a proper install.

Advise- Which one would be the better way to go from here. Try out the z6 in hopes of it lasting or say screw it and go for an H??

How is asking which is the best to go with NOT a tech question? Im basically asking people that may have had experience with either motor to throw a helpful reply into which i should go with, investing more into the D16 i already have or go for an H. You dont like my question be free to report the thread as not being "allowed" in the forums and let it go from there. If not then don't post up saying this or that if your not going to help out any. Go find one of the many other threads asking which i should do or what not and post the whole "this is a tech forum. not a what should i get forum. there is nothing technical about this. gtfo ."

that statement there is the reason for the topic, which isnt a technical topic. asking people where to put your money isnt technical. please read the rules.

Simple as this, A. report the thread to someone who can dictate if this thread is valid. B. You can just stay out of the thread sense you dont have anything besides read rules.

I read the rules. I didnt ask where i should put my money but instead showed how much i have spent on the one build and how far it got me compared to going with a bigger motor. So asking for help on which one would be better go go with. So ill ask again go report or stay out please.

maybe if you could stop being an idiot for about 10 seconds of your life, you would realize that nobody cares if it is or isnt a "tech" question. this is why ht is starting to suck because of a**holes like you that would rather cry about some stupid forum rule then help a person out by just answering there question.

If you can get the H-series for a good price, then I say go for it.

Remember gettin drivaxles isn't the handiest, or cutting the body for the shift rod/linkage, and the motor mounts you gotta F@#$ with...And it would be best if you upgrade to an integra radiator, but if you still got the radiator fan you should be okay.

I read the first line of the rules and I think technically you broke them...

So far i can get an H22a4 for $1000-$1200 and a buddy of mine has done a swap a few times, so he knows how the cutting goes and the mounts. As far as the radiator goes i was thinking of running the one i had until i can get my hands on an integra one for a good price.

If you can fund it H2B is really the way to go, no screwing with axles and shift linkage. '94 - '97 Del Sol Vtec rad is probably the way to go, half size but dual core, mounts the same as a stock civic rad.

Great, two noobs with a combined post count of less than 50 are complaining about forum regulations and established paradigms. If I were still a moderator I'd delete the thread and dock points from the both of you. "Honda Tech is starting to suck"? You don't know the half of it, kiddo. It only started to go downhill when ******* like you decided that the rules don't apply to them.

And to the original poster, grow some gonads and learn how to make your own financial decisions. If you have to ask our permission on how to spend your own money, then what's next? Asking us whether you should wipe front-to-back or back-to-front?

lol. next time how about i don't mention the money I've put into my motor and just ask "hey i have this, but with the problems I'm thinking of going with this. Which do you think would be a better choice." Get the sand out of your vagina. If i wanted financial help i wouldn't be asking online. Oh here ill make yall all happy. Ill edit it so there isnt any mention of money. Would that make you oh so happy?

Well then i guess its a good thing for whatever reason that you are no longer a moderator. That being said, you should go f*ck yourself. : ]

lol

Anyways, go with an H22 or H2B, try to sell the z6 stuff that you have. Whats the point of spending a lot of money and it can all take a dump the next minute? The h2x will be reliable but it will keep you happy. If you think the z6 cant be fixed then sell it but if you think it could be salvaged then run it.
