Stats for a 96 Accord?
Hi, Im a junior in highschool and i own a 97 civic HB.
Everyday this kid in a 96 accord ex 4- door parks by my car then tells me how fast his is.
It has-
No name intake
DC sport headers
No name exhaust
Engine is all stock other than that.
other stuff- interior is completely stock besides a 5" tach.
17' rims with bald tires. aftermarket head and tailights, a wing.
he cut his spirngs which made it ridiculously low.
I just wanted a ballpark of how quick it is with HP and trq.
I gave all the specs so you could kinda get an idea of how heavy it is and whats all done to it.
Thanks.

well stock its makin 130 hp... and i those bolt ons arent really going to make much of a difference, i would even imagine the bigger wheels would slow down its accel. But are u asking this so u can race him and take him down? ;D

The Accord (everything ideal) developes a power/weight ratio of 1/20.8
They would have to be driven differently, certainly. But there are so many variables that a forcast outcome would be a guess at best. Power to weight 'wise' they're pretty well matched.

You guys be careful if you are going to go heads up, I know you guys are Honda guys and you have to realize that his experience level says this is the fastest car he has, or maybe has ever riden in, get him in an SR20 Nissan (it only a two liter engine) or a Skyline RB20, I promise he will be real quiet from now on.

Why don't you just beat him up. That's the high school way. =P Just kidding.
What mods do you have to your Civic?
I mean just intake alone make a huge difference in my car's torque. Headers don't really do much... exhaust, he probably lost some hp with no name. With all the extra weight he's carrying, I think you might have a good chance. Most likely he didn't maintain his engine that well.
If it does make you feel better, my friends Fit with 1.5L and 105HP with SRI did keep up with me. (I'm so embarrassed) LOL!

It some intake with like a japanese symbol on it.
My Civic has an AEM CAI.
No p/s
No A/c
Crank windows etc.
Light weight rims
and it was gutted to remove all the bullshit wiring.
Some other things to to reduce weight.
I drove his around a parking lot and in first gear mine revved up to 7000 alot faster than his revved to 5000, thats where his stops. My civic is weird cause from all of first gear it holds its own but 2nd- 3rd. it just loses all its oomph.
Im pretty sure i can drive stick way better than him too.
wow man i gotta ask you. How is drivin ur car with out the power steering? i drove mine once what i was push starting it since its manual. But as a daily driver i really wanna know is it bad? it make u diesel? haha
It honestly isnt that bad, just turning when your going slow is hard. you don't really notice it when you switch lanes or anything.
I think im quite a bit stronger now from it [;
hahah yeah i bet it make u pretty strong from it. that mean when pulling up to a stop sign to turn left or right.. u pretty much have to get ur wheels turned b4 u stop? otherwise seems impossible to do it standing haha
It does. you could do it that way, i just give it a little gas and start cranking. its not to bad though. you cant one hand it like normal.
