Icon2 leaky 05 sedan trunk..

anyone had any issues with water in their trunk? i wont get any from a car wash but when it rains, i get a small pool. all the rubbers look good around the trunk, anybody got an idea of how to test for a leak in a trunk?

Bad tail light gasket? Trunk alignment?

either your tail light seal or the trunk seal. I had to replace the trunk seal on my previous car, most likely that is your culprit, just look at wear the water is getting in

thats what i figured, but when i looked, the weather stripping looked fine. i guess i gotta check the tail light, the cars never been hit though. does the original honda rear window have a bar-code engraved in the bottom outside of it?

the weather stripping wont necessarily look different but if your tail light seals are dry it's coming from the main seal. I had a nightmare that mine was leaking..

it seems like too much water to just be a tail light. its as if there was no gasket around the trunk. as in 1/2 a gallon everytime it rains. im about to bring it to honda..

Might want to take it to a frame shop if the vehicle had been wrecked and not repaired properly

haha i've seen this before check around the spare tire mounting bracket! I've seen several with holes in the floor which causes the water to "kick up" into the trunk

with as much water as he is getting in the trunk it isn't those holes, Im pretty positive it is his main seal

Lay the rear seats down and get inside so you can see into the trunk. Have someone pour water around the trunk with a hose to see where its coming from.
