Default Rims/Tires Question.

Wsup. I finally lowered my lude on H&R Sport Springs (1.5 inch drop) and KYB AGX Shocks. I'm having slight problems with my lude though. i rub everytime i turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right and when i hit small bumps at medium speed. I think my tire/rim dimension is: 16x6.5 225/55 (04 rsx rims)

Will 17 inch rims fit my ride w/o rubbing? Any tips on what size to get for new tires/rims?
I'm pretty happy that the car isn't so high off the ground now but just pissed that i can't turn and go over bumps w/o rubbing. i have about a 1 1/2 finger gap in the front.

thanks

Go here to review good tire size selections for our Ludes:

http://www.preludezone.com/showthread.php?t=170

Go here to try eveything out. If all of the factors match up and it says nothing will scrub then you more than likely won't have any problems. Not to be a butt hole but if you can't figure out how to use this site, you probably don't want to do this by yourself. At any point in time you get confused on something just pm me and I'll be glad to help. Hope this helps.

you are running a tire that is too tall right now, that is why you are rubbing. If you have a 225 wide, you should be running a 45 sidewall, not 55.

If you're running a 5th gen, stock size is 205/50/16x6.5, 55ET. Select those options for the tire on the left. Then select something like 215/40/17x7, 40ET on the right. Then, basically play with the different numbers to get overall diameter as close to stock as possible.
