*PICS* Of My Broken ATS 4.929FD!!!
A few friends of mine stopped by my shop and they just happeneed to have a really nice digital camera handy, so they snapped some pics of my broken ATS:
First of all the car on the rack:

HEY! Where did these come from?

OH! Here's where they came from!

And perhaps this isn't good either?

How about another view of the ATS ring gear?

So now here's my new ATS combo - wouldn't it be like a 0.00 FD since the pinion shaft has no teeth?

Oh, and how's that clutch doing?

Looks like the clutch has barely worn off the little copperish coating that's on the pucks. ClutchNet builds an awesome clutch for sure, and if you'll look at the first pic of my car on the rack you might be able to see the stock ITR flywheel that looks just fine - no grooves like I've seen once before with a ClutchNet clutch.
So what do you guys think? That looks so much worse than my stock 4.400 pinnion shaft did. The stocker had only 4 teeth gone and the car was still drivable. If the ATS is so much stronger I wonder why my stock 4.400 FD held up with some missing teeth while the ATS did what you see above?

Here, let's comapre this to my old broken stocker piece:
Pinion shaft:

...And the perfect ring gear with all of its teeth intact:

4 teeth broken perfectly clean vs. every last tooth gone plus some ring gear damage.

I pulled the tranny, but 2 of my co-workers actually tore it apart once the case was cracked open.
For now I've got a stock 4.40 ITR FD from a friend to borrow until I get the funds for the new ATS.
Downtime sucks ***, but I guess I'll be okay with the stocker for the time being.
What kind of pressure plate are you using?? How does it compare in clamping force to - say a stock clutch?
