My girl is shaking her stuff, and not the good kind.
My front end/steering wheel is still shaking. Its driving me nuts!
here are the symptoms:
shakes minimally if at all on city roads, ~0-40 mph.
shakes constantly on the highway from 40-80+ mph,
seems to shake most drastically under acceleration from 50-70 mph, but still does shake on neutral throttle at any high speed
shakes like a bastard when braking at high speeds.
I don't believe its the braking system as I have replaced the Rotors/Calipers and Pads twice now to try and remedy this issue. The brake pedal does NOT pulsate at all when braking. Very smooth. The rest of the car/steering wheel is what shakes.
Just took it to my mechanic and he said he didnt see any issue with the rods/control arms.
I had a tires balanced a while back when issue first started and it seemed to only make the shaking slightly worse.
Are these symptoms of a bad hub/bearing/mounts or even an alignment?

Another vote for axles. Bent rims will be really evident to any reasonable tire balancer. If ball joints and bushings seem ok, then you have eliminated most everything.
Bent axle will cause movement even at very low speed. Normally ball joints, balance and bearings will manifest worse problems as speed rises. Bent axle moves at low speed and shaking increases with speed. Turning, acceleration and braking make little difference. Things that are loose will changes depending upon how much stress and in what direction the stress is.

I had the same problem and to find out my rotors were shattered. this can happen when the temp. of the rotor goes from very hot to very cold (i.e. lots of braking then it rains)
replaced the rotors and the shaking was gone
Outer joints generally are most prone to wearing out and clicking. But if the inner joint wears it wont plunge properly and will give you vibrations that feel like an unbalanced tire or bent rim. Rare but it happens.
had the same problem, ended up being the intermediate shaft {bearing was bad} that was doin so, bought it at junk yard $35 problem gone
