Default 93 Honda Civic EG9 is it worth it?

ok so I have the chance to pick up a 93 civic 4 door 5spd, it has an d16y7 in it, obd2 non vtec, the only problem is it doesn't run right, possible wiring issue, I am getting an awesome deal, trading him a golf cart and $300, I'm just wondering if its worth getting involved with, any input will be greatly appricieated

any rust? Does the owner have any possible idea why the car is running bad? Could be a really easy fix and you would be set. No car payment, cheap insurance so yeah sounds like a good deal to me. You can pretty much find the answer to any honda issue and more on this site. Some very smart techs on here that know there ****.

Yeah, especially if it's right hand drive and from Japan because usdm 4 doors are EG8's For for serious, that sounds worth it to me.

Hey golf carts are a lot of fun, I wouldn't mind having one.

It's all good, I was sort of in a smarmy mood when I posted that, sorry man. I wonder why teh OBD2 conversion? Seems fishy, unless that's the only motor he could get his hands on? And if it's rustless, hell go for it. Good luck with it!

Whats really sad is the original D15B7 distributor bolts up perfectly to a D16Y7 and obviously plugs into the stock civic harness.
