Default problem with the heater...

not sure if this is the right place to post this but anyways, i have a 95 hatch and none of the climate control works. it has a b16a swap in it and i know the air con unit has to be pulled for the swap but i thought i would still have a heater... im wondering if its an electrical short or something... any ideas?

first, you dont have to the pull the a/c, who told you that? smack them, theyre dumb

second, people who do swaps almost never do it the right way, they prolly hacked alotta stuff up (espesially if they thought they had to remove the a/c for a swap) so its impossible for anyone to guess.

that being said i can give a few things to check when you start:

you might want to look and see if the water lines are even hooked up to the firewall, and theres a harness plugged into the back of the controls, if you pull the panel that the ash tray is on, and pull the radio you can look up and see if its plugged in... good luck

check if you have enough coolant also...heat wont work without enough coolant

check the hoses also for proper routing

well its not a heater issue i dont think, the fan doesnt even work at all so im wondering whats wrong, i was lookin under the glove box today and there is nothing there, just the glove box and the fire wall, i think all the ducting for the vents should be there... kinda finding cut corners on the car, the hole in the fire wall was duct taped over and same under the dash where i think the vents should hook up.

youre prolly gonna need both a/c control boxes that go under the dash.
