Default 96 civic in accident now wont start????

anything that would make my EK civic not start after an accident.

I hit back of van and it shut off instantly, Never damaged the motor nor anything near motor. Air bags went off. Anything thats in the SRS system that cuts fuel to the motor in event of an accident?

Never been in one and this makes me wonder what it is. I have full power, almost all lights radio, windows work, Cranks but not gettin fuel

its possible that the main relay could have been damaged from the inertia. can you hear the fuel pump running for 2 seconds when you turn the key to the on position?also check to see if maybe a wire was damaged, check the fuses under the hood.

their should be a fuel cut off switch in your trunk. when ever it triggers it cuts all the fuel off so that the car wont blow up in a car wreck. its triggered by hard vibrations.

You're thinking of the Ford "Panther" (Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Town Car) platform unfortunately.

Fuse #13 under the dashboard is labeled as SRS/fuel pump. Perhaps the airbag release caused the 15 amp fuse to pop. This happened when I totaled my 1997 Honda Civic LX sedan - I could not re-start the car to move it out of the way. Not like my transmission was attached anymore anyway though, oops.

<3 Trees and poles.
