Default Will a VTEC distributor fit on an LS motor? OBD2.

My distributor took a crap on me this morning, but my friend has an OBD2 distributor laying around, but I believe it's from a GSR.

Will the VTEC distributor fit on my OBD2 LS motor? thanks.

It will fit on, but the bolt holes wont match up so you will only be able to bolt down 1 maybe 2 of the arms.

It should be able to, just make sure it's sitting flush, and like the guy said, you might only be able to get a couple of bolts on it at the most. I ran a sawed off LS distributer on my B16 for a little while, so they do match up back and forth, it's just the bolt patter that's obviously different.

What's wrong with your dizzy?? you should try switching out the internal coil from your messed up one with the one from the good GSR. My dizzy took a crap on me, and it was the internal coil that went bad.

Well, the car was driving fine on the way to the store. Turned it off, went to the store, turned it on...then started shaking and sounded like it was dying, then it died. Car turns over, but just doesn't ignite.

We checked my sparkplugs and they're still in good shape. How can I tell if the internal coil is bad? I don't wanna spend like $200 on a new dizzy if it's something else.

All my lights turn on and whatnot, and car primes.

It could be the coil or the ignitor, both are inside the distributor and both can be tested using a haynes or service manual. Google "Hondahookup manuals" for a free one.

if your friend has the gsr dizzy that works, just take the "guts" out of it and put them in your ls dizzy casing
