I'm looking at buying a 2000 CRV with 104K on it, my only concern is that the heater does not blow hot air. Even after driving it for a while, it only is close to warm.

I live in MN so it can get very cold and don't want to be frozen while driving.
Are there any quick fix or things to check out first?

I don't want to spend much at the honda dealership.

 

the cabin filter behind the glove box has prob NEVER been replaced, and is so gunked up it isnt allowing any airflow. $10 diy fix.

 

Does it warm up to temperature? If not, tstat maybe.

 

they dont have cabin filters. tstat most likely

I got beat to it, but I was gonna bet you a $150 they had a cabin filter.
