Default itr pistons..can i go turbo????

i got a ls v with itr pistons is it safe to throw a turbo on my engine...???

It depends on how high your compression is at..

High compression and turbo..

What does your setup consist of ?...Ls block with what head? B16 , GSR or TYPE R ?

ITR's go turbo all the time... but the lower your compression is, the higher you can boost without worrying about breaking ****. so yes... you can turbo.

Of course with proper tuning you can do anything.

ITRs compression are around 10.8 (someone correct me if im wrong) thats why they can turbo it.

Ls/VTEC with ITR piston, depending on the head. The compression will be higher then a stock ITR...

Thats why i asked what his setup was...

true...but i doubt the 91 premium octane we got in cali will be sufficient enough for a high compression turbo set up...he'll have to pump some higher octane...
