Default itr pistons..can i go turbo????

i got a ls v with itr pistons and i want to throw turbo on my engine...would it b a bad idea...i know u have to go low comp but im just asking...

do you have JDM or USDM ITR pistons? USDM pistons in your set up would give you about the very high 10.8or9 area. JDM will give you low 11.2or3.

but like i always say, a good tune will get you anywhere. you can turbo it, just tune it well.

i wouldnt do it with those pistons in there. compression will be high and likeniness for detonation will be high as well. you could get away with a low boost setup on a good tune but its still risky.

no, it would not be a bad idea. make sure you tune it immediately after everything is installed.

not to butt in, but i have a jdm b18c motor, its all stock internals, would it be bad that i have been slowly building a turbo kit for this motor? i can't even get away with low boost 6-7 lbs?

yeah you should be fine make sure you still get a tune though

yes most definately, i would buy a honda s300 and install it before i even cranked that puppy up with a turbo.

i'm wanting to get a turbo and stick with it, just see just HOW much power i can squeeze out of less than 10psi, but then again i image that can get Expensive.

going all motor can be more expensive then turbo, i say save up and get your self a turbo kit, or make your own buying used parts and what not..
