Can anyone recommend a place for me to get my D16Y8 Civic's timing belt replaced in the So Cal area? I'm not too confident I could change this on my own.

its a pretty easy task. but if you dont want to or unable to to it yourself take it to the honda dealership to get honda oem parts installed and a qualified trained technician to do it right. i wouldnt trust a side shop to do it since they dont specialize on hondas.

So you guys recommend only taking it to a dealer? Are they all pretty much the same in terms of quality and price?

Christ.....

Please tell me this is a Joke.

TB WP and Tensioner only take about an hour to replace on that engine, and its easier than stepping in dogshit. I wish something this simple was the least of my worries right now. Find someone on the board to do it. If I lived around there, I'd do it for you about 20 times cheaper than a shop, let alone the dealer.

If you can't change your own oil on your car, you shouldn't be on this forum. I miss the days when people had legitimate question.

Go buy a manual for 15 bucks, and read it. These are by far the EASIEST cars in the world to work on.
