Steering wheel removal
Unplug the negative terminal of the battery. Wait 10 minutes. Remove side panels of the steering wheel. Unplug SRS plug from airbag. Use T30 torx bit to remove the airbag screws. Remove airbag and unplug horn wire. Use a 19mm socket to loosen the steering wheel nut. Give the wheel a couple of quick jerks. Remove the nut, then remove wheel.
Just the negative terminal is fine. The SRS light will turn on if you put back the negative terminal with the airbag plug unplugged. Of course you will lose airbag safety if you put an aftermarket wheel.
