master cylinder bad?
I have a 6th gen accord with a h22a in it. my pedal is low when I bleed the clutch slave. Within hours, the release on the pedal gets higher and higher, until it is at the top of the pedal. when I release the pedal my knee touches the steering wheel. it is pretty high, and it seems to lose grip. give it another hour and the clutch starts slipping. i put it in 3rd and punch it, slips, i put it in 4th and punch it, it slips. i bleed it, and the pedal goes down, and the clutch grabs. i am going to replace the master cylinder, any suggestions on if that will help?
I have never seen a bad part in the clutch system keep pressure on the TOB making the clutch slip, I am not saying its not possible but never heard of it. You do need a MC but you may have other problems.
maybe, i talked to a h22a installer in cali. he said the end play of the cylinder may be hanging up on me, and that i should replace that, and make sure the end play is right.
the master cylinder in there now, is from my single cam motor. the clutch in that sohc setup used to slip also.

There should be no hydraulic reason why this should happen, unless you used panther **** for hydraulic fluid and the heat of operation is causing the fluid to boil (which I doubt).
I suspect an issue with the clutch installed with the H22 swap; particularly the pressure plate. Either the diaphram spring has issues and has changed the installed (relaxed) position of the throwout bearing (furthur out) or the pressure plate itself has loosened (personally never seen one) from an overlooked installation step (like torquing the fasteners) and once again the throwout bearing is now furthur out while relaxed.
Ever notice how the spring's fingers (where the T'Out bearing rests) flatten as you tighten the mounting bolts and clamp the disc? Just the opposite may be happening here.
