I would rather go with the mugen carbon wing instead of adding this piece. Just doesn't look right to me.

 

Cheaper quality materials and poor fitment from the HK shop. If you look at the original post you will see the difference in quality.

 

I purchased a few there. Quality is OK.

 

Here are my observations after reviewing the Hong Kong part:

They use one layer of 1x1 CF twill, the part is saturated with clear coating,they use the cheapest polyester resins, it's produced in two pieces and glued together, and it has black dyed fiberglass matte on the inside for support because the CF is so weak. The part didn't fit right and it yellowed and warped in 100 degree heat.

The gurney flap sublimnal is selling is 100% pre-preg (dry) carbon, UV stable epoxy resin, single piece of CF (not two halves), cured in an autoclave at 250 psi, low resin content, aerospace grade CF and resins, it fits right, etc.

There isn't much of a comparison in terms of quality.

 

For me, the look is all that matters.
It looks the same.
Its not like it performs.

 

Yellowing, deformation, cracking, fitment are all potential issues with the Hong Kong piece.

 

How hard would it be to make one for a CTR wing? Those things are sweet looking.
