How much is a 97R worth?
In comparison I paid $17,000 for a 1998 with 34,595 miles on it. I woudl not have paid much more than that for a 1998 and as rare as they are a 97 is still just a car.
Take it if you are even considering sellng it.

its a car. right. but its a damn rare car.
even at the kbb.com prices they estimate the car to be at, you can get much more.
doenst matter what people tell you. look at the market. how many riceboys want a type R? how many people use stolen type R motors? it all comes into play.
obviously demand is much higher than supply.

I agree with Trey.
And even taking the "rare car" "worth more than KBB" etc garbage into account, $18k is still about the best he is going to do, IMO.
I say take it if you want to sell it. You could probably score a 98 with less miles even if you wanted to go back on the decision.

when we talk about the worth of an R, there's alway GSR drivers that come in and say an R is not worth as much as most people ask for...they fail to realize that if people out there are willing to fork up the cash, so what if the asking price is high??
If youre referring to me...I dont think youre making much sense.
Are you saying $18k for a 5yr old 1997 R with 42k miles isnt a good situation for the seller? If so...I guess you're the type who agrees with the $27,000 2000 R's that pop around every now and then?
A car is worth what someone will pay...I agree. And someone will pay $18k. Which is a good price. What else is there?

I dont agree with the ppl asking 27000 for a 2000 R...they should be more realistic; but i hate ppl who flame ppl asking 23000 for a 2000 R cuz if you got a problem with the price, dont buy it then

I've seen guys sell their 97 ITRs for 19000...many guys would say that an asking price of that high is insane...if it is, why would people still buy it?
