Default Junkyard Pricing?

Sup guys, I've never been to a junkyard but I want to know how much they would charge me if I wanted a complete rear trailing arm for my dc4. does anyone have any idea what kind of pricing id be looking at? is it a flat rate? i've got no idea. thanks.

Some more advanced places may have a set price in place for every part, with room for fluctuation based on visual condition, etc.

Other junk yards you just show them what you have, and the guy at the desk will just throw out a number, sort of a hit-or-miss kinda thing.

But it's been over 7 years since I last went to a junk yard so I dunno if things are any different.

I see... well my car is at a body shop, and they quoted me $350 for a complete passenger side rear trailing arm. I want to know which route would be the cheapest for me because right now, time is money. I cant afford to sit around and wait till I stumble on something in the marketplace, and besides, the marketplace is filled with flakers any how... i need my car to be running again.

no need to dis people in the market place. some are good, some are flakers. nuf said.

as for the junk yards like PatrickGSR94 said it all depends on the junk yard. around seattle there's mainly you pulls, meaning they send you out to the yard, pull it off and come back with piece and they'll give you a price. i would check there and also see if there's any part outs on craigslist in your area. good luck with finding that.

It would probably be like $50. Sometimes they sell cars by the ton and they would charge however much per ton. I think here it is like $150 per ton or so. You might go that route and make some money on the side. Every junkyard I have been to though, the integras are nothing but shells, everything is picked clean.

the ones around here pretty much charge whatever they want for parts...but if you know the guys and go alot the will treat you right...
and have a good attitude!!! the price can depend on it.

the one around here has a sign that says the price depends on you attitude..its a joke but still pretty funny
