Plus my car has small dings here n there, so im getting a new paint job on the whole car. Im stuck debating on painting it dark amethyst pearl(stock color) or VSM silver? what ya guys think?

I'd say the stock color is killa. Cuz there is just to many VSMs out there hate to be another one. My ej8 is Electric Green Pearl and i love it. By the way i think that FRONT mask should go. Kind of kills the car's look just my .02. And get some black housing headlights or Si-r ones they would look sick.

Oh......LoL. My bad. But yeah i would keep the purple looks like a sick non common color. Maybe with some bronze rims it would look Mad JdM Yo...LoL. Just playing. But seriously come to think about it some bronze rims would look nice on purple. G/L with your decision and let us know what you decide to do.

I'm partial to the VSM because I love dark wheels on a lighter car. The silver with black wheels in that 2nd picture you posted looks so tight to me.

I'd stick with the dark amethyst pearl, there's SOOOO many VSM Civics around that it just annoys the crap outta me! If you want to go silver, go with something darker like a charcoal color or something...that's my thoughts on the matter

Stick with DAP. Then you don't have to worry about under the hood and such matching.

Btw, it's probably not really an EK4.

dark amethyst pearl. its cheaper unless you want the door jambs, under hood, etc. painted. Not too common a color either. Ive never seen one. There are 4 VSM civics at work. I see VSM all day everyday. Ive never even seen a DAP, stick with that man.

stick with the purple. It is so much better to be different.

A lot of people ask me what color my car is and when I tell them green they usually make a funny face. But when they see it in person their like dam, thats actually pretty nice, and I think you will get the same impressions with your car. I'll be sure to give you a wave if I ever see you rollin around houston!

I'd go w/ the dark amethyst pearl to be unique.

But if you'd really wanna be different I saw a guy on here that had a navy blue like color on his hatch that came that color from Europe I'm guessing on the EK's.

Keep it stock, Gonna be less work when you paint it, and the stock color's already gangsta as is.

Yeah. Too bad I'd never live in Texas or call my 96-98 USDM hatch an "EK4" lol.

OP: Leave the paint the stock color unless you're taking out the engine, seats, glass, etc. etc. so that they can spray everywhere. Too much money. Not enough benefit. For the cost....I'd rather do a chassis swap for a OEM painted color you want. It's going to be F'ing expensive to have quality paint job done.

Iduno. Purple kinda sucks. Silver is kinda boring. I'd do either white, yellow, or black myself. But that's my opinion (I have to add that to be PC or every PC person on the site will jump all over it).

Dark Amethyst Pearl is actually a very sought after color in the Honda scene. Some people will, of course, still tease you for the purple hatch, but seriously... **** them.

Thus the, "WTF?"

The one guy is right about the "dark blue" EDM cars. You could potentially repaint the car,but skip the engine bay and it might be able to look "stockish" since DAP cars have a dark blueish purple undercoat as is.

not really a big fan of either color but i say leave it stock.
then you wont need to paint the engine bay.
